Is Your Vehicle Trying to Tell You Something?
Strange sounds like squeaks, squeals, clunks, rattles, grinding, or knocking can be signs that your Kia needs attention. Hayward Kia can help inspect, diagnose, and repair the issue before it becomes a bigger problem.
Describing the Noises Your Vehicle Makes
At some point, your vehicle may make a strange sound. Whether it is a squeak, squeal, bump, bang, rattle, or grinding noise, those sounds are often your vehicle’s way of telling you that something needs attention. Noises usually do not go away on their own, and waiting too long can sometimes lead to more expensive repairs.
We know it can be hard to explain a sound to a Service Advisor. This guide can help you describe what you are hearing so our technicians have a better starting point when diagnosing your vehicle.
Helpful Details to Share With Your Service Advisor
When scheduling your Kia service appointment, try to describe when the noise happens and what you are doing when you hear it.
When Does It Happen?
Tell us if the sound happens when starting, accelerating, braking, turning, shifting, idling, or driving over bumps.
Where Is It Coming From?
Share whether it sounds like it is coming from the front, rear, engine area, wheels, brakes, underbody, or inside the cabin.
How Often Do You Hear It?
Let us know if the noise happens every time, only when cold, only after driving, at certain speeds, or during certain road conditions.
