Tips to Change a Flat Tire in your Kia

Steps to Change a Flat Tire 

Step 1: Engage the parking brake after moving the vehicle away from traffic.  

Step 2: Locate spare tire and tool kit. The tool kit should consist of a jack and lug wrench along with the owner’s manual.  

Step 3: Carefully bring the spare tire to the side of the flat tire.  

Step 4: Spot the crevice near the flat wheel and place the jack there. 

Step 5: Slowly raise the jack till the tire lifts off the ground.

Step 6: Use the wrench to remove the hub cap and loosen the nuts.  

Step 7: Pull the wheel towards you to dislodge it.  

Step 8: Place the spare tire onto the same hinge and slowly screw back the nuts halfway.  

Step 9: Lower the jack till the tire hits the surface level.  

Step 10: Tighten the nuts and replace the hubcap.

The flat tire has been changed. Place the flat tire and the tool kit in the cargo compartment and check the tire pressure of the changed tire with a tire pressure monitor. It is advisable to have the car checked at a service station for safety.
